Clinical Supervisor- Residential

Hoffmann Center is seeking a full-time Clinical Supervisor for our residential campus located in St Peter, MN. This position is responsible for scheduling and coordinating all therapeutic activities at the Leo A. Hoffmann Center. Hoffmann Center revolves the therapy program around a client-centered and family based approach by creating a homelike atmosphere with a positive community. 

Responsibilities:

*Provide clinical assistance to the residential programs

*Provide clinical and therapy services as needed

*Supervise and coordinate effectively with primary therapists

*Assist with client intake and discharge process

*Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of individual care plans

Qualifications:

*Must be 21 years of age or older

*Master's degree or higher in family therapy, psychology, social work, or a related human service field

*Holds a license in the sate of MN or is license eligible


 

Registered Nurse- Residential

Hoffmann Center is seeking part-time and full-time Registered Nurses for our residential campus (St. Peter, MN). The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating the day to day medical concerns of all clients, including assessing their medical needs, assisting psychiatrists, administering medication and scheduling required medical examinations & treatment & educating clients and their families. This position includes ongoing communication with treatment staff regarding client symptoms and possible recommendations, as well as facilitating licensing requirements for medical care of clients. This position is under supervision of the Director of Nursing.

 

Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor physical and mental health needs of all clients
  • Coordinate medical services for clients
  • Coordinate ongoing medical services to clients after business hours
  • Coordinate and/or administer medication for clients
  • Assist the agency psychiatrist, and facilitate client's psychiatric care
  • Maintains current standing orders for psychiatrist and family physician treatment
  • Becomes proficient at learning electronic medical records documentation
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing, Clinical Director, and/or Executive Director
  • Provides accurate and timely documentation consistent with plan of care

 

Registered Nurse Minimum Requirements:

  • Current license in good standing in the State of Minnesota
  • Performs RN responsibilities in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and licensing rules
  • Preferred specialized training or two years experience in treating mentally ill individuals
  • Must be 21 years of age

 

Youth Crisis Counselor- Residential

Hoffmann Center is seeking full-time and part-time Youth Crisis Counselors. This position is a mental health practitioner specializing in providing counseling support services to clients under emotional distress often caused by mental and behavioral issues. A Youth Crisis Counselor responds to unit crisis situations to assist in deescalating clients, provides follow through, and conducts interventions as needed. Hoffmann Center revolves the program around a client-centered and family based approach by creating a homelike atmosphere with a positive community.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide a nurturing environment and close, intensive supervision and security to all clients.
  • Use behavior management techniques appropriately with clients.
  • Complete all steps of the intervention process including conducting risk assessments, first response to physical holds, provide debriefings to staff, and notify client support team of a physical hold
  • Medical Administration
  • Complete necessary client reports, care plans and records in a timely manner in accordance with program procedures.

 

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social services, human services or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2000 hours working with emotionally and behaviorally disturbed adolescents or meets the requirements of a Mental Health Practitioner
  • Requires ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted and 100lbs with assistance. Position requires physical restraint of clients.

Youth Counselor- Residential

Hoffmann Center is seeking full-time, part-time, and overnight Youth Counselors for our residential campus (St. Peter, MN). This position provides quality client care and close intensive supervision of male adolescent clients in a residential treatment setting. Treatment is delivered as a ratio of 1 staff to 3 client during awake hours and 1 staff to 4 clients during overnight hours. Hoffmann Center revolves the program around a client-centered and family based approach by creating a homelike atmosphere with a positive community.

 

Youth Counselor Responsibilities:

  • Provide a nurturing environment to all clients.
  • Provide visual and auditory supervision to clients.
  • Use behavior management techniques appropriately with clients.
  • Maintain client files according to established guidelines.
  • Medication Administration.
  • Complete all client reports, care plans and records in a timely manner in accordance with program procedures.

 

Youth Counselor Minimum Requirements:

  • MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.
  • Mental Health Practitioner preferred.
  • Have a 4 year degree in social services, human services or related field preferred. (Non-degreed Youth Counselor starting pay is $18.00.)
  • Able to stay calm and emotionally available in an environment serving youth.

 

Residential Therapist

Hoffmann Center is seeking a full-time Mental Health Therapist for our residential campus (St. Peter, MN). A Licensed Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing therapy for clients and their families within a residential setting. Clinical Supervisor- Outpatient

Hoffmann Counseling Services of Mankato and Waseca are seeking a full-time Clinical Supervisor. A Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical supervision to therapists working towards licensure and mental health practitioners providing skills training. A Clinical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance of supervisee’s documentation, guidance of supervisee’s job performance, and caseload. A Clinical Supervisor will also maintain a balanced client caseload based on the intensity of supervision needs. Individuals in this position directly report to the Director of Outpatient Programming.

 

Clinical Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical guidance and consultation as a Mental Health Professional to supervisees and colleagues.
  • Maintain a balanced client caseload.
  • Completing intakes and Diagnostic Assessments as assigned.
  • Provide assistance with the completion of progress reviews and discharge summaries.

 

Clinical Supervisor Education and Experience Requirements:

A typical background for the person who can fulfill the duties of this position are as follows:

  • Master’s degree or higher in family therapy, psychology, social work, or a related human service field; such as MFT, MA, MS, Psy.D., Ph.D.

 


 

Therapist- Outpatient

Hoffmann Counseling Services of St. Peter and Waseca are seeking a full-time/part-time Mental Health Therapist. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide individual, group, and or family psychotherapy. At Hoffmann Counseling Center - Mental Health Therapist’s collaborate as a team to provide clients with a comprehensive therapeutic experience.

Mental Health Therapist Responsibilities include:

Mental Health Practitioner- Outpatient

Hoffmann Counseling Services of Waseca is seeking full-time Mental Health Practitioners (MHP) in our Children's Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS) program. Our CTSS program provides community based rehabilitative services to children and adolescents with mental illness. Our Mental Health Practitioners provide individual and family skills training under the direction of a Qualified Mental Health Professional. Qualified candidates will be able to provide services to children and families in the home and community settings, and work independently and engage effectively with children with mental illness. A valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation and proficient use of computers are necessary to fulfill this position; previous experience with electronic health records is desirable.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

Mental health practitioners providing services for the treatment of mental illness, who are not eligible for enrollment, must be under clinical supervision of a mental health professional and must be qualified in at least one of the following five ways:

1. Holds a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science or a related field, from an accredited college or university and meets either a or b:

a. Has at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to recipients with mental illness

b. Is fluent in a non-English language of a cultural group to which at least 50% of the practitioners recipients belong, completes 40 hours of training in the delivery of services to recipients with mental illness, and receives clinical supervision from a mental health professional at least once a week until the requirements of 2,000 hours of supervised experience are met

2. Has at least 6,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to recipients with mental illness. Hours worked as a mental health behavioral aide I or II under Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS) may be included in the 6,000 hours of experience for child recipients.

3. Is a graduate student in one of the mental health professional disciplines and an accredited college or university formally assigns the student to an agency or facility for clinical training

4. Holds a masters or other graduate degree in one of the mental health professional disciplines from an accredited college or university

5. Is a tribally certified mental health practitioner who is serving a federally recognized Indian tribe

 

In addition to the above criteria:

  • A mental health practitioner for a child recipient must have training working with children.
  • A mental health practitioner for an adult recipient must have training working with adults
  • Good verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass DHS Background Study.
  • Valid MN Drivers License and Proof of Insurance.
